Marketing Manager

Remote
Full Time
Big Human
Mid Level

Hi, we’re Big Human, a full-service creative agency. We work with the world’s most interesting brands to bring their vision to life through technology, design, branding and marketing.

Since 2010, we’ve produced 262 websites, 80 applications and 50 brands for 247 satisfied clients (Rockefeller Center, Gemini, Quinn and Netflix, to name just a few). And we’ve still found time for our own passion projects on the side (like HQ Trivia and Vine).

As we continue expanding our marketing capabilities, we’re hiring a Marketing Manager to support our growing team. This person will play a critical role in helping our marketing department run smoothly, ensuring our strategists and creatives can operate at their best.

About the Role

We’re looking for an exceptionally organized, proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Manager to support and elevate our growing marketing practice. This person sits at the center of the team: ensuring clarity, structure and momentum across every engagement so our strategists, creatives, and analysts can focus on high-impact work.

You’ll manage timelines, coordinate internal reviews, own workflow sequencing, run QA on deliverables, and maintain operational systems that keep our work high-quality, predictable and client-ready. You’ll also support resourcing and prioritization, helping ensure the team’s time is used effectively and sustainably.

This role is part project manager, part operations lead, part workflow architect: perfect for someone who loves bringing structure to ambiguity, smoothing out complexity, and keeping fast-moving teams aligned.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this is a coordinator-to-mid-level role with meaningful opportunities to grow.

What You’ll Do

Project Management & Workflow Coordination

  • Build and manage project timelines for recurring and one-off deliverables
  • Own weekly and bi-weekly workflow cycles, including outlines, drafts, reviews and final approvals
  • Ensure Asana tasks are created, updated and routed correctly
  • Remove bottlenecks by clarifying requirements, resolving blockers and confirming priorities
  • Timebox meetings and ensure all prep work is complete before internal or client sessions
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing to align weekly priorities with available bandwidth

Quality Assurance & Deliverable Readiness

  • Conduct first-pass QA before work reaches senior reviewers
  • Check decks, documents and reports for completeness, structure, accuracy and consistency
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure insights are fully contextualized for clients
  • Maintain templates, naming conventions and version control across projects
  • Ensure every deliverable meets Big Human’s quality and clarity standards

Internal Communication & Support

  • Run internal syncs, take notes, capture decisions, and follow through on action items
  • Summarize meeting outputs into clear next steps for the team
  • Prepare agendas, supporting materials and logistics for client presentations
  • Protect focus time and manage calendar flow for the Director of Marketing

Operational Systems & Documentation

  • Build and maintain SOPs, QA checklists, templates and process documentation
  • Identify workflow gaps and proactively implement improvements
  • Support resourcing by flagging over/under-capacity and making adjustments in Forecast
  • Maintain consistency in how the team executes, communicates and delivers work

Who You Are

  • 3–5+ years in project management, marketing operations, studio coordination or a related role
  • Highly organized with a strong sense of ownership, urgency and follow-through
  • Skilled at managing complex workflows across multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent communicator: clear, concise, proactive
  • Obsessed with accuracy, detail and process consistency
  • Able to anticipate needs and remove roadblocks proactively
  • Calm, positive and solutions-oriented, even under pressure
  • A natural systems thinker who enjoys creating clarity and improving how teams work

Bonus Points…

  • Proficiency with Asana (major bonus points here)
  • Experience in a creative agency or studio environment
  • Familiarity with data QA, content review or editorial workflows
  • Exposure to marketing, analytics, or content operations
  • Experience supporting senior leaders
